Eric Stockland, owner of Charter Bay, was heavily involved with Tampa’s very first green-certified home. In 2006, as Chief Operations Officer for Nohl Crest Homes, Eric Stockland – President of Charter Bay – was involved in all aspects of producing the very first Green-Certified Showcase Home in the history of the Tampa Bay Builders Association Parade of Homes.

As pioneers in local green-building implementation, this was a significant accomplishment for the entire team. From concept design, through the selection of all of the green components for the home, and to final completion, it was a process in which everyone learned a tremendous amount about green building. The end result was an incredible 1.5 million dollar green home that incorporated more green features than any other home in Tampa Bay and still stands as one of the “greenest” homes in the Tampa Bay area today.

The experience gained from this home, plus being involved with the process of producing over ten other green homes which were built to meet the standards of the Florida Green Building Coalition, means Charter Bay’s clients have the ability to incorporate green remodeling concepts into their projects in any manner they desire.
